At the annual national Community Radio Awards, held this year in Cardiff, Red Kite Radio’s Sunday Brunch presenter John Reid-Hansen was a finalist in the Best Radio Show of the Year (60+) category. There are over 300 licenced community radio stations across the country, and to be a finalist in this category was a great achievement.
John was supported at the awards by Red Kite Radio colleagues, including Breakfast Show presenter Alan Taberer and Unironic Country presenter Tamsin Starling. The Community Radio Awards ceremony brought together radio stations from across the UK to celebrate excellence in community broadcasting.
As you can see from the pictures below, the Red Kite Radio team had a great time at the Community Radio Awards, representing our station with pride and celebrating this significant recognition of our commitment to quality community radio programming.
